The service

Underheard Studio lets organizations collect feedback through short interviews and calls run by an AI voice assistant. The organization that invites you decides what is asked and receives the results. Underheard operates the technology on its behalf.

Accounts

Account holders are responsible for what happens under their account, for keeping their sign-in secure, and for having the right to contact the people they enroll in a study.

Acceptable use

The service may not be used to send unlawful, misleading, or unsolicited messages, to harass anyone, or to collect information from people who have not agreed to take part.

Text messaging program

Underheard sends text messages on behalf of the organizations that use it: a link to a voice interview, a reminder for a scheduled call, or a short follow-up after a call.

How you opt in

You only receive messages after you agree to them, and that agreement is given verbally following a voice call: our voice assistant asks whether it may send you a text message, and you answer yes. Your answer is kept in the call transcript together with the number it was given for. We do not add numbers from any other source.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by program. Most people receive between one and four messages per study or call they take part in. This is not a recurring subscription.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details of your plan.

How you opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages are sent unless you opt in again.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile numbers collected for this program are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Underheard is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use, and its total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update this page and its date.
